Custom Portraits & Fine Art

every creation begins with a memory

How much does a portrait cost?

A 16x20 portrait is $450.

Larger ones will cost more and the price also depends on the number of subjects.

How long does it take to create a masterpiece?

Usually four to six weeks,

but it also depends on the number of subjects and the complexity of the composition.

How do I get my photos to you?

They can be mailed or sent by email.

If sent by email be sure to send the largest file size of the image possible using a .jpg format.

Are portraits framed?

Not normally due to shipping costs.   You will receive your portrait either on watercolor paper or on canvas (not stretched) and you can have a local framer frame the portrait the way you want it finished.

Adjustments to this can be made depending on circumstances and your desires.

What tools do you use to create the portrait?

I will use the photographs as the basic starting point and will also use blending of artistry, light, textures and shadows.  Brushes both traditional and electronic bring out the luminosity and elegance of the masterpiece.

Once the image is created it is transposed to an electronic format and the final image is printed on archival watercolor paper or canvas and further enhanced. Other media can also be used if desired, such as printed on metal or acrylic.
